Mortality rates of low-income men in the US.

In the US, low income middle aged men in 1970 had an average life expectancy 5 years below that of high income men of the same age.  By 1990 the gap had risen to 12 years.  The latest estimate puts it at almost 15 years ( Edward Luce FT 10/10/16 ).
