This page outlines the data policy of clareshort.org in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation which came into UK law in May 2018.

clareshort.org does not collect or possess any identifiable data about its visitors. The aim of the site is to provide a central repository of Clare Short’s published writings and to allow individuals to make contact with Clare Short, should they want to. The site is not run for profit and does not run paid advertisements or engage in any marketing activity.

Further, the site is not integrated with any social media accounts associated with Clare Short nor does it allow for users to leave comments. There is thus no possibility of data collection from these channels.

Contact form

If you chose to contact either Clare Short or the Site Manager via the contact form this is understood by us to constitute implied consent for either Clare Short or the Site Manager to make use of your email address in order to reply to your query. We therefore do not explicitly ask for permission to record the email addresses of those who make contact. The email addresses collected will only be used for the purposes of direct communication to the sender and not for marketing purposes. The email address will only be stored for the length of the communication period.
